### Job Description
Works with Hospital administration on planning, organizing and directing Imaging Services operations and ensuring compliance with all local, state and federal regulations.
Makes daily rounds in Imaging Services to judge effectiveness of operation, utilization of personnel and supplies, and general ethical and professional atmosphere.
Secures and maintains the physical facilities, equipment and supplies which are required to carry out effective patient care and create an optimum physical environment.
Carries on continuous analysis, evaluation and audit of Imaging Services.
Initiates and actuates improved methods of imaging services and directs their implementation.
Prepares department budgets for personnel, operating expenses and capital equipment. Responsible for fiscal operation of the department.
Provides system development support into the cardiology-nursing component and works closely with hospital ancillary and support departments and medical staff to facilitate quality and efficiency in patient care.
Plans, directs, coordinates and supports all aspects of Cardiovascular services to include the Cardiac Cath Lab and Cardiac Ultrasound Services.
Coordinates the evaluation of new products with the Cardiology Product Line.
Plans and administers the department operations budgets. Evaluates opportunities to maximize the cost-effectiveness of current service and proposed services on an on-going basis.
Reviews contracts with outside services to determine the best costs for the services. Makes recommendations for changes to achieve the best cost for the services.
Monitors and assists in marketing Cardiovascular Services to ensure continued service line success and growth.
Ensures department compliance with regulatory standards including but not limited to DNV, State of Nevada, CMS and Fire and Safety Regulations.
Maintains up-to-date competency and education files and ensures that all staff licenses and certifications are active.
Conducts the departmental orientation and initial competency assessment of new hires.
Responsible for completion of regular performance evaluations for each staff member; conducts evaluation for new staff prior to completion of probationary period.
Responsible for interviewing and selection of staff for the Cath Lab, EKG and Cardiac Ultrasound departments.
Supervises all assigned staff to ensure high quality patient care.
Interacts professionally with patient/family. Consults other departments, as appropriate, to collaborate in patient care and performance improvement activities.
Directs and participates in the human resource management function for the department by coordinating the selection, promotion, orientation and performance appraisal processes.
Maintains standards of professional society procedures and ethical behavior.
Maintains hospital requirements, policies and standards on confidentiality.
Complies with all organizational policies regarding ethical business practices.
Employee has willingness and ability to perform additional duties in different areas of the department/hospital on an as-needed basis.
Communicates well with management, co-workers and physicians, reporting problems with equipment, supplies, or procedures.
Consistently strives to understand, anticipate and meet the needs, expectations and satisfaction of patients, visitors, co-workers and medical staff.
### Skills / Requirements
Bachelors degree in health care or business administration, nursing or related healthcare field program required, Masters degree preferred.
Five (5) years Director experience preferred. Must have Cardiology experience.
Nevada RN license and BLS required

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
