Job Description:
I. Position purpose / scope: The responsibility of the Barback is to assist the Bartender with the following duties: o Provide friendly, courteous beverage preparation and service in accordance with established procedures o Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of bar o Prepare mixes and garnishes o Stock all glassware, condiments, beer, paper products and other necessary items needed for efficient operation II. Responsibilities: Essential: o Primary function is to clean and stock the bar. o Report to the Bartender on duty at their scheduled bar. o Order and maintain departmental supplies at their assigned outlet o Maintain Beverage Department standards of cleanliness at all times. o Prepare all mixes and garnish. o Properly stock all glassware, condiments, beer, paper products, etc. and all other necessary items needed for efficient operation. o Assist Bartenders in the preparation of drinks when needed. o Fill in for Bartenders and breaks when needed. o Must be trained in health code requirements. o Adhere to all check settlement and Food & Beverage control procedures. o Other job related duties as assigned.

Knowledge and skill requirements: Essential: o Understand and comply with all company and departmental rules, regulations, policies and procedures. o Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with staff. o Ability to read, write, and communicate verbally in English o Ability to handle cash and accurately make change.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
